Eau de Parfum for Women and Men

FRAGRANCE NOTES
Blue Pea Flower, Lemongrass, Mint, Gardenia, Tea Rose, Jasmine Sambac, Mango, Honey, Butter Cream, Cake, Vanilla, & Musk

BLUE TEA captures the relaxed Caribbean elegance of tea, florals, and breeze on the grand veranda, evokes a soft opulence, relaxation, and refined sensuality, at the Tower Estate on a mountainside in St Pauls, Grenada, West Indies.

From an inspiring walk through the Perfumer’s Garden, we seek refugee and repast with a delicious Afternoon Tea. The tea is of course, Blue Tea, the signature beverage of the Tower Estate.

Refreshing and invigorating notes of Blue Pea, Lemongrass and cool Mint fill our senses with every sip. The naturally deep aquamarine blue of the Butterfly Pea flower seems to translate the scent for our eyes.

A moment of gentle luxury as the sun sets and the evening begins to creep in on a floral scented breeze that travels up the mountainside carrying Jasmine, Tea Roses and Gardenia to our table.

Notes of honeyed fruits, creamy confections, and spiced cakes add to the layered fragrance filling the veranda, as day fades on a particularly lush afternoon tea.

Each 50ML Bottle of BLUE TEA contains a single Petal from the Butterfly Blue Pea Flower in homage to the perfume’s inspiration.

As a background to BLUE TEA perfume, I’ve been going to the Tower estate in Grenada, West Indies every three months for about 5 years now. Over this time, putting together a perfumery programme with a large Perfumer’s Garden, distillation enfleurage & tincturing equipment, perfumer’s organ, and perfumery lab has been a large focus.

As a part of all that, I Co- Founded, SCENTS OF GRENADA, a Caribbean perfume festival, with the owner of the Tower, Isabelle Slinger. We’ve received some great support both domestically in Grenada and from the International community of perfumers and perfume lovers and are hosting the 13th edition this MAY

Blue Tea EdP is connected to all of those efforts. Butterfly Blue Pea Tea is the speciality of the Tower Estate where I’m based and the botanicals are grown on the organic farm. Blue Pea flower, lemongrass, and mint are the basis of the tea and I’m referencing those notes in the perfume. More specifically, I wanted to capture scents of having afternoon tea on the grand veranda at the Tower. Sitting on the veranda puts you very close to large plantings of Tea rose, Jasmine Sambac, and Gardenia ( Heaven Scent variety ) all three waft through the veranda in the late afternoon and it’s amazing. I also included some notes like buttercream, vanilla, and fresh mango that would be some of the sweet treats served for Tea.

It has been a fantastic experience for me to observe the florals morning, noon, and night throughout the year so several years now and I’ve really taken my time working out accords. I’m very excited to see what you think of the effort. All very curious because its very different from most of the deep, dark, heavily layered perfumes I’ve done in the past.
