Born in the Caribbean and sold globally by the early 19th century, the traditional Bay Rum cologne introduced much of the world to Grenada’s unique spice palette.
BAY RUM by EUPHORIUM WEST INDIES, Caribbean launch at SCENTS OF GRENADA NO5, represents two years of perfumer, Stephen Dirkes’ hands on study, collaboration, discovery, and creation with farmers, horticulturalists, distillers, culinary artists, chocolate makers, tea blenders, mixologists, and educators in Grenada, the “Spice Island” of the Caribbean.
Of course our SCENTS OF GRENADA Caribbean launch will feature a rum tasting and special Bay Rum cocktail presentation wit Eastern Caribbean Rum. In fact the theme of the weekend long festival was the Bay Rum accord and we harvested, cookeked, dined on, sampled, distilled, and blended citrus, spice, and floral notes from the PERFUMER’S GARDEN at the Tower Estate, Grenada throughout the weekend.
